Performing Arts Technical Director - Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School

Responsibilities

• Cook with directors, staff, and students to plan and execute technical aspects of productions.
• Design and set up lighting plots, sound systems, and special effects for performances.
• Supervise and train student crew members in technical operations.
• Maintain and update equipment inventory, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during rehearsals and performances.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth and successful productions.
• Stay current on industry trends and new technologies to enhance productions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre, Performing Arts, or related field.
• Proven experience in technical theatre, with a focus on sound, lighting, and set design.
• Strong knowledge of audio and lighting equipment and software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with high school students is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during productions.
