Job Responsibilities

• Leads guests on organized and educational excursions
• Provides leadership and training for level I & II guides
• Greet guests and provide an orientation of safety and necessary equipment concerns
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Lead tours to educate and engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds
• Test communications equipment prior to operation
• Provide interpretation in a variety of settings
• Ensure guide compliance with operations manual and contracts
• Be aware of MSDS sheets and use this information when necessary
• Ensure security of company assets and a safe work environment
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor

Qualifications

• Training in First Aid protocols such as Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness Advanced First Aid, Wilderness EMT or EMT/Paramedic preferred
• Multi-lingual skills a plus
• Extensive experience guiding in the same or related environment
• Sit, stand and walk for varied amounts of time
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Available to work flexible hours

Skills

• Knowledgeable guide for clients
• Ability to provide interpretation in various settings
• Choreograph tours to educate and engage visitors
