Performance Tester with GCP (QA3)

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.) | Duration: 5+ Month Contract (Potential Extension)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to lead performance testing and optimization for a cloud-native healthcare application. This role will define performance strategy, identify system bottlenecks, and ensure high application performance for critical user workflows while leading a team of Performance Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing strategy for GCP-based applications.
• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Analyze performance across microservices, APIs, databases (including Cloud Spanner), and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend performance improvements.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 Performance Engineers.
• Partner with development, DevOps, and architecture teams to improve application performance.
• Present performance metrics and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Performance Testing/Engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE), JMeter, or Gatling.
• Strong experience with cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, and performance analysis.
• Experience with GCP observability and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Previous experience leading performance testing teams in enterprise environments, preferably healthcare or financial services.
