About the role

AlixPartners is seeking a Performance Senior Vice President to lead high-impact consulting projects for clients facing complex, urgent challenges. This role involves working on high-stakes situations for owners, boards, and CEOs, often featured in prominent business publications. You will analyze corporate performance, drive cost reductions, revenue growth, and profitability improvements in your area of expertise. The position operates within a hybrid work model, combining in-person (client site or office) and remote work, with travel requirements varying by project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and analyze corporate performance in high-stakes situations.
  • Drive cost reductions, revenue growth, and profitability improvements in your industry or functional area.
  • Manage complex work streams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand client culture, political environments, and stakeholder agendas to build and drive the case for change.
  • Conduct sophisticated negotiations and independently structure problem-solving approaches.
  • Synthesize complex analysis and identify implications with attention to detail.
  • Develop new tools, methodologies, and approaches creatively.
  • Plan for and mitigate risks on projects and work streams.
  • Develop proposals with strong commercial instincts.
  • Prepare client-ready documents and presentations with advanced written communication skills.
  • Communicate articulately and adapt messaging effectively to different audiences.
  • Build counseling relationships with clients and peers.
  • Flex between big-picture strategy and detailed focus as needed.
  • Develop and manage analytics, reports, and metrics.

Requirements

  • 8–15 years of business experience.
  • 2+ years of related consulting experience in a professional services firm environment preferred.
  • Deep skills and passion as a specialist in specific industries or service areas (e.g., supply chain, profitability, logistics, procurement, revenue growth, retail, manufacturing, consumer, process industries, aerospace, high tech, business services, restaurant, automotive, private equity, financial services, life sciences).
  • Experience leading and managing complex work streams and projects.
  • High energy, flexible, and adaptive style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or foreign equivalent; Master’s degree and/or certification in a related specialty preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work outside normal U.S. business hours as project needs arise.
  • Ability to work full-time in a hybrid (office and remote) environment, including prolonged computer use.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $160,000–$310,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
