Role Overview
Provide oversight support for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project (WTP) at the Hanford Site.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating transition of the Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) mission to operations
- Leading teams of senior engineers to develop process control strategies
- Overseeing contractor performance
- Supporting process control, chemical safety, and flowsheet development activities
- Auditing and conducting training on contractor issue resolution, assurance programs, and monitoring progress of engineering, procurement, and construction efforts for HLW systems
- Preparing comprehensive reports and providing performance assurance support to management
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10+ years experience in management consulting or senior management roles interfacing with executives in government or industry
- Direct experience with DOE WTP projects, including oversight, documentation, and performance verification
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft 365
- PREFERRED: Knowledge of DOE Hanford processes, project management practices, and WTP priorities
