Performance Improvement Coordinator

About the role

Drives and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow to enhance organizational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to identify challenges, resolve critical issues, address cost containment opportunities, and successfully implement innovative services, systems, and performance measures that drive meaningful results.
• Research, develop, and implement cutting-edge improvement systems, methodologies, and tools that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Engage with Leaders to develop and refine screening indicators that support organizational goals and quality standards.
• Deliver comprehensive on-site training and ongoing support to performance improvement teams, ensuring successful adoption and sustainability of initiatives.
• Lead regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance activities while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Champion policy, procedure, and contract review processes while coordinating quality improvement initiatives that create lasting organizational impact.

Qualifications

• Certifications/Licensure: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred; certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Management preferred.
• Education/Experience: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• RN preferred with 3–5 years of acute care experience preferred.
• Previous quality improvement experience preferred along with strong analytical skills and clinical skills to determine gaps in care and opportunities for improvement.
• 3–5 years of hospital experience; Clinical Emergency Department Experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of medical terminology.
