Performance Engineer - W2 Only

About the role

We are seeking a Performance Engineer with strong expertise in performance testing, monitoring, and application scalability for cloud-native and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and executing load, stress, and endurance tests while leveraging observability tools to identify performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Implement performance and high availability strategies to optimize application efficiency.
• Develop test scripts using NeoLoad, JMeter, and LoadRunner.
• Execute performance tests (load, stress, endurance) and monitor results using APM tools to identify performance issues.
• Use APM tools like Dynatrace and AppDynamics to conduct root cause analysis for performance and scalability bottlenecks.
• Analyze Splunk logs, Dynatrace distributed traces, AppDynamics snapshots, method hotspots, and response-time hotspots to identify slow components and provide recommendations.
• Perform performance testing for cloud deployments, Docker/Kubernetes containerized applications, and microservices.
• Conduct auto-scaling, chaos, and failover testing to measure and test for pod/node failures, network exhaustion, CPU/memory saturation, container startup failures, and dependency failures.
• Track and contribute to technical discussions around application integration, high availability, resilience, and observability.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Performance Engineer.
• Strong hands-on skills with NeoLoad, JMeter, and LoadRunner.
• Experience with APM tools like Dynatrace and AppDynamics.
• Experience in performance testing for cloud deployments, Docker/Kubernetes, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Java/Python and SQL query creation and manipulation.
• Experience with auto-scaling, chaos, and failover testing.
• Strong ability to analyze logs and traces (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
• Good communication skills and ability to work as an individual contributor.
