ATI is hiring a Performance Engineer for our Millersburg, OR facility in the Fabrication Department. This is an onsite position and a key role in analyzing and monitoring overall equipment effectiveness while driving issues to resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own and eliminate production losses, whether in utilization, yield, or uptime, to ensure effective solutions are implemented.
- Evaluate and categorize production losses for proper classification for targeted improvement efforts.
- Record, analyze, and interpret production deviation data to determine trends and opportunities for performance improvement.
- Determine and prioritize corrective actions to close operational performance gaps.
- Review daily operating logs to identify equipment reliability issues and collaborate with teams to address challenges.
- Partner with reliability engineers to identify and address equipment losses to ensure long-term reliability improvements.
- Work with the Capability Leader to determine solutions for mitigating losses due to operating discipline.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the reliability program to ensure performance targets are met and areas for improvement are addressed.
- Lead criticality analysis for equipment within the area, focusing on high-priority equipment.
- Identify needs and resources for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and the appropriate level of investigation for issues that arise.
- Provide input to turnaround scope for availability and equipment reliability opportunities that cannot be addressed during regular operations.
- Evaluate improvement proposals to uncover their true value and alignment with business goals.
- Provide subject matter expertise in support of key performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Manufacturing, Industrial), Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production, manufacturing, or operational environment, with a focus on performance improvement, continuous improvement, project management, or reliability.
Skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with asset reliability teams to drive performance and equipment improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of business value drivers and operational requirements that enable alignment with organizational goals.
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis methods with the ability to lead RCA investigations to resolve production issues.
- Proficiency with Production and Operations Data Systems for tracking and analyzing operational performance.
- Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities that foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Comfortable identifying and challenging suspected non-value-added activities, ensuring a focus on impactful improvements.

Pay
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Hourly pay rates are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
