Performance Analyst or Senior Performance Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a Performance Analyst or Senior Performance Analyst to join the Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) US Finance team. This role supports strategic decision-making and drives business performance through timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights.
About the Role
The individual will work with the Head of Finance and ZRS leadership team to provide support and advice on strategic priorities. This role reports to the Head of Finance and has a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week presence in the Schaumburg Headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Communicate complex financial information and insights to business partners across multiple functions.
- Prepare key messages, reports, and financial analyses to deliver insights to management teams.
- Support the planning and forecasting process and collaborate with business unit leadership to explain changes and impacts.
- Provide advanced financial analysis and modeling.
- Monitor/review business progress relative to business/operational plans.
- Evaluate key projects/initiatives to determine if key deliverables are being met.
- Identify gaps in analysis and additional analyses that should be conducted.
- Apply industry knowledge to own work and bring knowledge to bear with other analysts.
- Develop written communications that convey analyses and insights in a cohesive story.
- Define data requirements and identify appropriate sources.
- Build rapport with stakeholders/senior executives and tell a compelling story of results.
- Participate in training and development of new hires.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications for Performance Analyst: Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance; High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance; Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program with a Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance; Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance; OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Basic Qualifications for Senior Performance Analyst: Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance; High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance; Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Preferred Qualifications: Insurance industry experience; Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting; Knowledgeable of P&L; Project management experience; CPA, CPCU, CFA, or CTP; Strong Microsoft Office experience; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Experience using Power BI, SAP, and BPC; Experience navigating Co-Pilot successfully.
Pay and Benefits
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The combined salary range for this position is $72,500.00 - $157,000.00. The proposed salary range for the Performance Analyst is $72,500.00 - $118,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%. The proposed salary range for the Senior Performance Analyst is $95,900.00 - $157,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
