Per Diem - Retail Pharmacist

About the role

The role of the pharmacist is responsible for: dispensing prescriptions and specialty medications; administering appropriate immunizations; ensuring compliance with 340b program; creating a great customer experience; continuing professional relations with medical providers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators; ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and SJH policies; and maintaining a positive, attentive and knowledgeable professional image of the pharmacy department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (in Pharmacy)
• Doctoral degree (PharmD)
• Equivalent FPGE (NABP)
• Completion of ACPE Accredited Immunization program preferred
• Completion of 340b program training required, within 90 days of hire
• Demonstrate ability to read, write, speak, type, analyze and interpret and understand the English language
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, understand business metrics, financial reports, and legal documents
• 1-2 year experience in retail pharmacy preferred
• Previous 340B and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Hold and maintain a current, valid in-date license/registration to practice Pharmacy in the state of practice
• Immunization privilege and required CPR certification preferred

Requirements

• Must not currently be on any federal government exclusion lists (i.e. OIG, GSA), have any active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter

Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, understand business metrics, financial reports, and legal documents

Pay

• Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law
