Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited school of nursing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Preferred: Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ICU nursing experience, CCRN certifications, Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License, documented completion of TCAR – Trauma Care After Resuscitation every 2 years, Completion of Critical Care Course after 3 months

Essential Functions

• Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Maintains awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
• Affirms safety in practice and incorporates evidence-based practice principles
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors
• Knowledgeable about the patient population served
• Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address specific patient needs

Scheduling Requirements

• Day shift, Per Diem
• One weekday shift per month
• Two weekend shifts per month
• One major/one minor holiday per year
