Per Diem Registered Nurse

Essential Duties

• Administer and safely store all medical supplies and prescribed medications.
• Treat any daily health care problems, including first aid and emergency problems.
• Regularly assess clients for specific nursing needs, and health problems and monitor accordingly.
• Lift and transfer individuals as appropriate to their needs.
• Provide preventative health maintenance: blood pressure check, weight, health care education.
• Work with staff to develop programs related to client's health and related issues.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of client medical files and ISP requirements.
• Participate in or complete nursing assessments, progress notes, and other applicable documentation.
• Provide and or assist with regular in-service training in coordination with nursing staff.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
• Protect the health and safety of all consumers and staff.

Requirements

• Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and one year of experience.
• Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks.
• Nice to have: Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD, Valid Driver's License required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
