Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and clinical support within Hope Christian Health Center's Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Recuperative Care Center (RCC) environments. The RN serves patients recovering from acute illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization who require short-term medical respite services.
Responsibilities
- Greets individuals and patients
- Provides accurate, detailed, and succinct messages to providers and staff
- Completes patient evaluations and assessments
- Aids in patient admissions and discharges
- Starts and maintains IVs
- Maintains PICC lines
- Administers medications to patients
- Daily charts (Progress notes/MAR)
- Provides wound care
- Obtains and records patient vital signs and evaluates results
- Venipuncture and collection of urine specimens
- Administers injections and vaccinations
- Performs CLIA-waived testing
- Meds reconciliation
- Ostomy care
- General patient education and coaching
- Takes orders from appropriate medical staff
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
- Prevents the spread of infection and disease
- Complies with HIPAA and protects patient information
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
- Maintains all BLS certifications and state licensure
- Attends and actively participates in staff meetings
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada
- Valid AHA Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling

- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
- Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed
