Per Diem Registered Nurse

Job Summary This role involves providing direct nursing care within the inpatient surgical department, working independently across various clinical specialties such as PCU, ICU, and ED. The RN will serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include delivering safe patient care, implementing and documenting individualized care plans, assisting with tests and procedures, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. The position requires participation in orientation, emergency response, and patient safety initiatives, with a proactive approach to improving patient safety and quality care. It involves caring for diverse age groups, including Neonate to Geriatric patients, and fostering patient-centered practices. Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with at least one year of related experience. Valid RN licensure in the applicable state, CPR certification, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are essential. Preferred credentials include specialty certifications like PALS or TNCC. The role involves working rotating shifts with differentials, including night and weekend shifts, and requires maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and contributing to professional growth.
