Per Diem Registered Nurse - Advanced Acute Care

About the role

Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) providing direct patient care in a 19-bed unit for medical patients, including those with surgical procedures and complex needs such as drains, tubes, trachs, and noninvasive respiratory devices.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs
• Promote safety, adaptive responses, and patient satisfaction
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostics
• Revise care plans based on patient responses
• Collaborate proactively with physicians and staff
• Troubleshoot equipment
• Participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
• Support patient and family education
• Address holistic patient needs
• Formulate and implement care plans
• Provide direct treatments
• Evaluate interventions
• Engage in quality and safety programs

Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty nursing training program
• Compassionate, collaborative, and safety-focused care delivery
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays
