Per Diem Radiology Ambulatory Reception Scheduler Coordinator
About the role
The Radiology Ambulatory Reception Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors as the first point of contact in the Radiology Department.
Responsibilities
- Schedules appointments and verifies insurance for all radiology patients.
- Performs clerical and receptionist functions in the Radiology Department, including preparation and maintenance of patient records.
- Serves as a resource to medical staff regarding hospital protocols.
- Works as the link between staff, patients, families, and care providers, and between the unit and other hospital departments.
Requirements
- One year of clerical, scheduling, and/or customer service experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in a healthcare field, experience scheduling radiologic appointments for various modalities including CT, Ultrasound, DEXA, and General Diagnostics, previous experience in an ambulatory care setting, and one year of Epic electronic medical record system experience.
