Per Diem Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Rowan-Virtua SOM, Department of Psychiatry

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides coverage at inpatient sites.
• Services to include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, restraints and staff consultation as required.
• Provides appropriate documentation of care including chart notes and completion of required/requested forms.
• Provides additional coverage call for the Department’s hospital contract.
• Coverage will be on-site face-to-face.
• Must ensure the possession of a functioning phone at all times while on-call.
• Must respond to any and all calls by telephone response within 15 minutes.
• Must be available and respond to any and all or direct service to patients within one hour of being called for restraint, sentinel event, near-miss or any other clinical situation that requires face-to-face clinical care by an independent clinical practitioner.
• Keeps abreast of agency, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• SUBMITs appropriate billing information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: One (1) year of experience as a practicing APN
• Licensure: Unrestricted Licensed as an APN with the State of New Jersey with a current CDS and DEA.

PAY

Salary: Commensurable with experience
