Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a principal in an urban setting.
- Proven record of success as a principal with clear evidence of student growth.
- Proven record of success in working in an urban setting.
- Ability to mentor and provide support to aspiring leaders.
- Principal Certification required.
- PREFERRED: Experience working in the Newark Board of Education.
Basic Functions And Responsibilities
- Allocate time for regularly meetings with principals throughout the year.
- Meeting with school based administrative teams as needed.
- Observing and coaching the practices of current principals.
- Assist principals in identifying and solving problems.
- Review relevant school data and documentation.
- Assist principals with tracking progress against standards.
- Consult with supervising Assistant Superintendent.
- Other duties as assigned.
