Per Diem Physician/Psychiatrist for MAT Clinic

About the role

We are seeking a Per Diem Program Physician or Psychiatrist to join our team in Springdale, AR. This role provides flexible, on-call medical and psychiatric services to support our patients' recovery journeys.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically supervised treatment for opioid use disorder, including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing care.
• Prescribe and monitor pharmacotherapy (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with counselors, nurses, and support staff to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
• Conduct patient evaluations, including physical exams and psychiatric assessments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with clinic policies.
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted medical license in Arkansas (or eligibility for licensure).
• Board certification in Psychiatry or Family Medicine (preferred) or equivalent experience in addiction medicine.
• DEA registration with X-waiver (or willingness to obtain) for buprenorphine prescribing.
• Experience in opioid use disorder treatment, pain management, or behavioral health settings.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to harm-reduction principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
