Per Diem Physician/Psychiatrist for MAT Clinic

About the role

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a full-time physician dedicated to helping patients in their recovery journey. The primary function includes admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment, covering absences for the Medical Director, conducting history and physical exams, documenting in the EMR, and monitoring patient dosages.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment
• Covering absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences
• Obtaining a history and physical exam
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription
• Mentoring Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
• Mentoring counselors and dosing nurses
• Consulting on high-risk patients and performing annual medication reviews

Qualifications

• Boarded Certified or Eligible in any residency
• Licensed in the state of AR
• One year of experience in addiction medicine
• Able to interact compassionately with a diverse population
