Per Diem Physician/Psychiatrist for MAT Clinic

About the role

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a full-time physician dedicated to helping patients in their journey to recovery. The primary job function includes admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment, covering absences for the Medical Director, obtaining a history and physical exam, documenting in the EMR, consulting on high-risk patients, and conducting annual medication reviews.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment
• Covering absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences
• Obtaining a history and physical exam
• Documenting in the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing, or writing a buprenorphine prescription
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, counselors, and dosing nurses
• Consulting on patients deemed high risk and conducting annual medication reviews
• Willing to supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
• Performing other related duties as determined by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Boarded Certified or Eligible in any residency
• Licensed in the state of AR
• One year of experience in addiction medicine
• Able to interact compassionately with a diverse population
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
