Per Diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Shift Details

• 9-hour shifts from 8am to 5pm
• Flexible scheduling options available
• Schedules posted at least 2 months in advance

Responsibilities

• Complete, detailed, and accurate health histories
• Review patient records and develop comprehensive medical assessments
• Order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals
• Implement emergency measures and treatment for conditions like cardiac arrest, shock, etc.
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine status, management, and treatment
• Provide instructions and guidance on health care and promotion

Requirements

• AANP or NCCPA Board Certification (with 1 year ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
• DEA number and state-controlled substance certificate
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Able to multi-task and work independently
