As a Per Diem Phlebotomist at Pinnacle Fertility, you'll engage with patients throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional care and service.
We are seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - Illinois in Milwaukee, WI. This is a per diem, onsite position that requires the flexibility and availability to work shifts during the hours of Milwaukee, WI - Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood samples from patients of all ages.
- Properly identify patients, label samples, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Prepare and transport blood samples for lab testing following protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients during procedures.
- Monitor and maintain phlebotomy supply inventory.
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Adhere to all lab policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program or nationally recognized phlebotomy certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, AMT) preferred.
- 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and clinical staff.
- Proficiency in maintaining lab safety and infection control standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
