About the role

This per‑diem pharmacist position is located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Bronx, New York. The role involves managing pharmacy operations, supporting staff, engaging with clinic providers, providing medication education, and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and facility policies while promoting a patient‑centric team culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and education to patients on their medications.
• Manage staff pharmacists and technicians, if applicable.
• Address knowledge gaps through education and training.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
• Stay current with HIPAA and fraud, waste, and abuse credentialing.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Ensure pharmacy and employees are aware of and comply with local facility policies.
• Engage with clinic providers and clinical staff, provide drug‑related education, act as a member of the patient care team, and attend clinical meetings.
• Demonstrate the highest standard of patient quality care, from advising on prescriptions to managing chronic and specialty conditions.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride by leading and directing pharmacy staff to achieve specific goals.

Schedule

Flexible hours Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
