Scope of Responsibilities
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department.
- Affirms the training and development of subordinate staff, estimates personnel needs, assigns work, meets completion dates, interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies.
- Relying on experience and professional judgment, plans and accomplishes assigned tasks and goals.
Responsibilities
- Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients.
- Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
- Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines.
- Fulfills all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy.
- Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs.
- Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims.
- Oversees the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed.
- Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns.
- Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
- Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span.
- Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
- Affixes all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and reports deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention.
- Affords assistance in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented.
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
- Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions.
- Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
- Affords assistance in facilitating communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
- Affords assistance in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines.
- Affords assistance in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
- Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed.
- Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
- Possesses and maintains a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift.
- Certified Immunizer.

Compensation
$56.10 - 66.72 an hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
