Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe and effective use of medications through order verification;
- Assessment of medication selection, dosing regimen, and administration;
- Provide drug information and education;
- Drug therapy monitoring services;
- Drug procurement at YRMC;
- Works closely with medical providers and nursing staff to ensure optimal care is provided;
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance department operations or service outcomes;
- Evaluates medication drug therapies;
- Answers questions about drug information;
- Supervises technician activities and medication management processes;
- Precepts pharmacy students and helps precept and oversee pharmacy residents.
Requirements
Essential: * PHARMACIST * YRMC FLEET SAFETY CLEARANCE (FLEET)
Credentials
Education: Essential: * BACHELOR'S DEGREE
Qualifications
REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy plus five years' experience or Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
