Per Diem Orthopedic Home Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, mainly hip and knee replacements, in their homes.
  • Educate patients on safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation post-surgery.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Perform functional training, including activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, and community reintegration.
  • Document patient progress, complete billing, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate with team members for scheduling and patient care coordination.
  • Maintain professional standards and provide patient education and support.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree.
  • Strong orthopedic background, especially in total hip and knee replacement rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems, excellent communication, and decision-making skills.
  • CPR certified, with basic computer skills and a dedicated work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
