Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, mainly hip and knee replacements, in their homes.
- Educate patients on safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation post-surgery.
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform functional training, including activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, and community reintegration.
- Document patient progress, complete billing, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicate with team members for scheduling and patient care coordination.
- Maintain professional standards and provide patient education and support.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Physical Therapist with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree.
- Strong orthopedic background, especially in total hip and knee replacement rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of EMR systems, excellent communication, and decision-making skills.
- CPR certified, with basic computer skills and a dedicated work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
