About the role

Per diem orthopedic home physical therapist providing evaluation and treatment to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries—including total hip and knee replacements—in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries in their homes.
• Provide education on safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Document patient progress and ensure safe discharge readiness.
• Deliver functional training, exercise prescriptions, and community reintegration support.
• Manage billing and documentation.
• Follow regulatory and departmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred).
• Licensed in practicing state with CEU compliance.
• CPR certification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong orthopedic experience, especially in post-surgical rehabilitation.
