Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in evaluating, treating, and referring health and psychological concerns of YBGR youth.
- Conduct nursing assessments and required tests per Admission Protocol.
- Implement all medical treatment plans for each youth.
- Dispense medications safely and perform medical treatments according to physicians' orders.
- Create clear, concise, and up-to-date medical records for each youth.
- Provide direct intervention, obtain necessary orders, and assess Special Treatment Procedures and Suicide Precautions in line with YBGR policy.
- Collaborate with the core team to develop patient treatment plans.
- Acquire informed consents for medications from parents and guardians.
- Participate in random audits for compliance.
- Suggest changes to Nursing protocols.
- Contribute to the agency's strategic goals and outcomes.
- Engage in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals both individually and as a team member.
Qualifications
- Education: Required: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience: Preferred: One (1) year of professional experience in pediatrics working with patients diagnosed with mental or emotional issues.
- Licenses and Certifications: Required: Current license as RN or LPN in the state of Montana or a compact state. Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
