Per-Diem Medical Assistant
About the role
The Medical Assistant provides supportive patient care functions within a clinical setting under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include clerical tasks such as scheduling, managing patient documents, and maintaining confidentiality, as well as direct patient care like obtaining vital signs, assisting with examinations, performing waived tests, specimen collection, and patient education.
Responsibilities
They support departmental maintenance by managing supplies, cleaning, and sterilization, participate in quality assurance and regulatory compliance, and deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with patients and staff. Additional duties involve immunizations, resource management, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or related experience. Entry-level role with no experience or with certification/registration. Computer skills and basic medical terminology knowledge are essential.

Pay
Pay ranges from $16.00 to $32.00 per hour based on factors like experience and certifications.
