Per Diem ICU Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specialized in ICU or Telemetry for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality acute-care nursing in a hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge instructions
• Follow infection-control standards, hospital policies, and patient safety guidelines
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Qualifications And Skills

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
