About the role
Vinfen is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to individuals with various needs. Founded in 1977, Vinfen promotes recovery, resiliency, habilitation, and self-determination for the people they serve.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing, implementing, and documenting individual treatment support plans.
- Assist with daily tasks including (re)habilitative interventions, behavioral interventions, and monitoring.
- Monitor progress and provide transportation as needed.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
- Document interventions and provide role model behaviors.
- Oversee and participate in the daily living and cleaning of the program site.
- Ensure program site safety and maintenance.
- Store, administer, document, and dispose of medication according to MAP requirements and company policy.
- Complete various paperwork and logs including communication logs, community membership logs, chore schedules, timesheets, and application forms.
- Provide relief pool coordinator or HR staff with current contact information.
Requirements
- One to three months experience in a human services setting (or substitute for academic training).
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driver’s screening background check.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper techniques or a two-person lift.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways.
- Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living.
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate effectively.
Qualifications
- First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
- CPR certification within two weeks of hire.
- Safety Care certification within 90 days of hire.
