Activities Assistant

About the role

Ozark Care and Rehab seeks compassionate and thoughtful individuals to join our team. We partner with skilled nursing centers to support a small team environment of caring professionals with the resources of a larger enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities
• Prepare special snacks with residents
• Set up the dining room tables for activities
• Clean up after all activities
• Complete required logs and charting
• Keep all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or general equivalency
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP (preferred)
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming (preferred)
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification (preferred)
