Activities Assistant
Activities & Events Coordinator Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and oversight of resident activities.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct programs providing physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for residents.
- Attend and assist in coordinating community planned functions, including set-up, running, and breakdown.
- Create and organize a calendar of events.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for planned activity events.
Qualifications
- A degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of experience in assisted living or long-term care, preferably with memory care patients.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to motivate older adults.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated creativity.
- Strong organizational, delegating, and consensus-building skills.
