Per Diem Cook's Assistant

About the role

Under direct supervision of the Chef, assists in performing basic cooking tasks. Ensures food is attractively served and properly handled within Weymouth Health Board and JCAHO guidelines. Works well with peers, manages stressful situations, and adapts to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly. Contributes to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Understands daily department needs and works independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in basic cooking tasks
• Responsible for sanitation of kitchen area and equipment
• Ensure food is attractively served and properly handled
• Maintain compliance with Weymouth Health Board and JCAHO guidelines
• Work collaboratively with peers and manage stressful situations effectively
• Adapt to situations to ensure tasks are completed properly
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
• Understand daily department needs and work independently as needed

Pay

Pay Range: $17.42 - $23.45 per hour

Schedule

• 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM or 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Flexible days, including weekends and holidays
