Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This world-renowned entertainment, gaming, and hospitality destination features a $1.5 billion expansion with 1,271 upscale guestrooms, including the first-ever Guitar Hotel and Oasis Tower. Amenities include a lagoon with private cabanas, a 42,000 square-foot Rock Spa® & Salon, a 13.5-acre recreational water experience, 19 dining outlets, 20 bars and lounges, an expansive gaming floor, premier meeting and convention space, and a 7,000-person Hard Rock Live entertainment venue. Located on 87 acres near Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed financial reports to ensure adherence to established budgets; investigate and resolve discrepancies; may prepare operating budgets.
- Perform inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to departmental policies and identify problems.
- Investigate and resolve employee and/or guest situations by taking immediate corrective actions.
- Maintain, write, and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Interview, hire, schedule, appraise, and supervise all directly assigned personnel.
- Develop department members’ knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching, and corrective counseling.
- Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly notifying management of concerns.
- Conduct personal behavior and manage direct reports who reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Promote positive guest relations at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, along with two (2) years of housekeeping experience in a similar hotel environment required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year of housekeeping supervisory experience in a similar environment strongly preferred.
Work Environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy.
- May be exposed to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
