Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

About the role

Provides anesthesia care under medical supervision for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients pre-operatively
• Selects and administers anesthesia
• Monitors intraoperative and postoperative patient conditions
• Manages airway, fluid balance, and emergencies
• Maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Teaches student nurse anesthetists
• Maintains compliance with policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
• Valid RN license
• Certification as a CRNA
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Experience in extensive anesthesia procedures
• Strong clinical and professional skills
• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and documentation

• Technical proficiency in anesthesia administration
• Strong communication skills
• Professional maturity
• Staff development abilities

Experience in obstetric anesthesia, especially labor epidurals, is preferred.
