About the role

Vinfen is a nonprofit organization providing community-based services to individuals with various disabilities. As a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will work in a clinically intensive program tailored to meet the needs of adults with brain injuries and complex health needs. Your role involves assisting individuals in their daily routines, promoting their independence, and ensuring they are fully integrated into their communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance with activities of daily living according to each client’s treatment plan.
  • Assists individuals in becoming more a part of their communities.
  • Takes and documents vital signs, toileting, and passive range of motion exercises.
  • Implements and documents individual treatment support plans.
  • Stores, administers, documents, and disposes of client medication.
  • Transports and assists clients to medical and other appointments.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Affords crisis intervention techniques and reports any changes in client medical condition.
  • Participates in trainings, staff meetings, and other meetings.
  • Works effectively and safely with assistive and medical equipment.
  • Documents services provided to clients and completes all service delivery and administrative documentation.
  • Contributes to program’s quality improvement goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • One to two years of job-specific experience in human services field preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with brain injury preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, with the ability to pass a driver’s screening background check.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
