Per Diem 2nd shift Inpatient Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Work in a single assigned work area providing specimen collection, registration, and processing services
• Serve patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics
• Perform high-volume work with approximately 50% of duties involving computer utilization with targets to meet
• Provide clerical support to the Pathology Department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Valid Michigan driver's license
• Six months of phlebotomy experience required, including experience from school
• Must be able to type 40 words per minute
• ASCP certification for Phlebotomy preferred (must obtain certification within one year of hire)
