PEPI Manager - Merger Integration & Carve-outs (Open to all US locations)

About the role

The Merger Integration & Carve-outs (MI&C) service line at Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) focuses on helping private equity firms improve operating results at their portfolio companies. The team works on a broad continuum of knowledge and tools for mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and alliances, from pre-deal operational and synergy reviews to 'Day 1' planning and post deal implementation.

Responsibilities

• Identify key client business issues and determine client needs using innovative approaches.
• Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for the client.
• Lead workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) such as synergies, TSA, blueprinting, Day 1 readiness, executive reporting, integration roadmap, communications, organizational design.
• Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that involve designing and implementing creative business and technology solutions.
• Drive performance improvement assessments across an enterprise and oversee the implementation of recommendations.
• Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures (not required).
• Deep functional expertise in finance & accounting operations, HR/Organizational design, leadership and stakeholder involvement, communications planning and management, supply chain/operations, Salesforce effectiveness, marketing optimization, pricing/margin/mix optimization, knowledge management and transfer, success at both planning and driving revenue/growth initiatives, program management and leadership experience.
• MBA preferred.
