About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PeopleTools Consultant responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing technical operation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments. In this role you will own the technical backbone of the PeopleSoft platform — including PeopleTools upgrades, image applications, security configurations, search server operations, and integration with cloud and middleware platforms.

The ideal candidate will combine deep PeopleTools and PeopleSoft administration experience with strong fundamentals in Oracle database, Linux/Unix, and modern DevOps practices. You will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. You will also raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.

The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.

Responsibilities

• Architect, install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PeopleSoft environments
• Own PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) processes
• Manage WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers
• Administer Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft
• Perform Oracle Database administration tasks
• Develop and maintain Linux/Unix shell scripts
• Implement and manage PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling
• Operate and maintain high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) for PeopleSoft
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver well-engineered solutions
• Mentor junior engineers through code and design reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Six or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience
• Hands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
• Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers
• Experience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experience
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling
• Experience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoft
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• PeopleSoft certifications
• Experience operating PeopleSoft on OCI, AWS, or Azure
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Familiarity with CI/CD patterns for PeopleSoft change management
• Experience with PeopleSoft Selective Adoption strategy

Pay

$95,000–$110,000 Annually
