Peoplesoft Business Analyst (100% Remote)

About the Role

The candidate will serve as a Business Analyst in the Program Optimization Support and Transformation (POST) bureau to support the New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS) PeopleSoft system functional areas and bureau users.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to support existing business processes and system components.
• Document and categorize existing business processes.
• Work directly with operational bureau managers and staff to design and implement timely and effective solutions required to maintain existing and new functionality.
• Compose and review business system documentation.
• Validate requirements throughout the business analysis process.
• Assist with the communication of business process and system requirements to IT staff and other stakeholders.
• Review and analyze business process deficiencies requiring resolution during or after implementation.
• Participate in SIT and UAT testing to ensure functionality is working properly.
• Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and cases.
• Work with stakeholders to design and develop deployment plans that allow for the effective and efficient implementation of all new business processes and system components.
• Facilitate the execution of deployment plans.
• Work with business and technical staff to analyze any problems identified during the deployment process and develop solutions that effectively address those problems.
• Work directly with operational bureau managers and staff to facilitate, coordinate, and complete the numerous activities required as business owners of the Deployment Phase of the System Development Life Cycle.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience analyzing an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documenting its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
• 72 months of business analysis experience in a PeopleSoft environment in each of at least five of the following knowledge areas (as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis' "A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK Guide)"):
  • Business analysis planning and monitoring
  • Elicitation and collaboration
  • Requirements life cycle management
  • Strategy analysis
  • Requirements analysis and design definition
  • Solution evaluation
• 72 months of experience in reading and creating SQLs.
• 72 months of experience utilizing an understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and table structures.
• 72 months of experience developing, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects.
• 48 months of experience performing business analysis in one or more of the following PeopleSoft modules: CRM, HCM, FIN & IB.
• 48 months of experience developing solutions emphasizing the use of delivered functionality either to remove existing customizations or to provide solutions to meet business needs.
• 48 months of experience utilizing PeopleSoft Application Designer as a reference tool for functional design, support, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's Degree.
