About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our team, primarily supporting delivery execution within our digital modernization initiatives. This role is pivotal in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements, ensuring seamless communication between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will operate in a delivery-facing capacity, embedded with technical teams, and will play a vital role in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation. You will collaborate closely with program leadership, architects, developers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that solutions are well-defined, traceable, and aligned with client objectives. Supporting structured governance, intake, review, and acceptance processes will be integral to your responsibilities, along with contributing to an agile delivery environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and best practices.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting application development or system modernization projects.
- 8+ years of facilitating requirements elicitation sessions with diverse stakeholder groups.
- 5+ years of experience documenting requirements and specifications for web-based or enterprise systems.
- 5+ years of recent experience working within a mature Agile delivery environment (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Mural for delivery management and collaboration.
- Working knowledge of modern software development lifecycles, including requirements traceability, integration testing, and release validation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
- Reside and perform work within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and analyze complex business processes and system requirements within a digital modernization context.
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions, translating business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze system behavior, including APIs, data flows, integrations, and dependencies, ensuring requirements are comprehensive and testable.
- Manage and maintain product backlogs in Jira, prioritizing, refining, and preparing items for development sprints.
- Develop and maintain functional, delivery, and governance documentation using Confluence, including process flows, decision records, and specifications.
- Support governance processes such as intake, review, and acceptance, ensuring compliance and clarity in deliverables.
- Collaborate with program leadership and technical teams to design new features and functionalities aligned with business needs.
- Work with architects and developers to define solution designs, system interfaces, and integrations.
- Create and interpret complex documentation, including data mappings, interface definitions, and reporting requirements.
- Review wireframes, user flows, and prototypes in Figma, providing feedback and validation to ensure alignment with requirements.
- Facilitate working sessions, workshops, and cross-team collaboration using tools like Mural.
- Support system demonstrations, incremental reviews, and acceptance testing, producing relevant documentation as needed.
- Contribute to a mature Agile environment by applying best practices and supporting continuous process improvements.
- Assist with growth activities such as RFIs, RFPs, and solutioning efforts to support project expansion and client engagement.
