People Team - Specialist - Talent Acquisition
Acme Smoked Fish Corp seeks a skilled recruiting professional to handle full-cycle talent acquisition across all domestic business units. The Specialist operates independently on day-to-day recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, and guiding candidates through the onboarding process, while also supporting employer branding efforts.
Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle talent acquisition/recruitment process across all domestic business units, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to drive an efficient, equitable, and high-quality hiring process from requisition through offer acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers and People Partners to conduct intake meetings, define role requirements, and align on sourcing and selection strategies.
- Identify and implement effective sourcing methods to build a strong, diverse pipeline of qualified candidates using LinkedIn, Indeed, and other digital platforms and Boolean search technologies.
- Guide hiring teams through structured interview processes, ensuring consistency, appropriate assessment methods, and alignment to role requirements.
- Partner with marketing to support the execution of recruitment marketing initiatives across social media, job boards, and other digital platforms, and contribute ideas to enhance Acme’s employer brand and talent acquisition strategy.
- Manage day-to-day administration of the recruiting module and applicant tracking system (ATS) within the HRIS, including job postings, candidate records, and workflow management, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
- Conduct phone screens, coordinate and facilitate in-person and virtual interviews, schedule assessments, and manage debrief sessions with hiring teams.
- Extend verbal offers within established guidelines and guide candidates through pre-hire steps and the onboarding process.
- Support the execution of the new hire onboarding process by coordinating onboarding activities and ensuring a seamless transition for new hires; contribute to continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with the People Team.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by staying current on hiring regulations and applying that knowledge through established processes, in partnership with the Director – People.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through timely communication, process transparency, and consistent follow-up.
- Attend and participate in job fairs, career events, and other recruitment and employer branding events.
- Collect and report recruitment metrics/KPIs no less than monthly to support data-driven hiring decisions.
- Support employment transition activities in alignment with company policies, including coordination of outplacement services for eligible employees.
- Coordinate with approved external staffing agencies as needed in support of production, specialized, or high-volume hiring needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3-5 years’ experience executing full-cycle recruitment and hiring process required.
- Manufacturing and/or CPG industry experience preferred.
- Experience supporting hourly and/or production recruiting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing applicant tracking systems (ATS), including workflows, data integrity, and reporting.
- Experience recruiting in a multi-state environment and supporting compliance with applicable employment laws and hiring practices preferred.
- Experience working with staffing agencies or vendors preferred.
- Experience using recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pipeline activity) to support hiring outcomes preferred.
- HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
Workspace Environment
- Ability to work in a warehouse and office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
