What you’ll do (day-to-day)
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on performance improvement, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution
- Guide leaders through key moments in the employee lifecycle, including performance conversations, written feedback, and improvement plans
- Conduct and lead employee relations reviews and investigations, including complex, high risk and sensitive matters, ensuring fair, impartial, timely, and well-documented outcomes
- Provide in-the-moment coaching to leaders to build capability and confidence in managing employee situations
- Assess risk and recommend appropriate actions to Business Leadership, partnering with Legal and People Enablement Business Partners as needed
- Maintain clear, objective case documentation, including summaries, timelines, and recommended actions
- Provide regular reporting and insights on case activity, using data and trends to inform decision-making and proactive solutions

- Foster a culture where feedback is constructive, concerns are addressed early, and accountability is shared
- Bring a thoughtful, risk-aware perspective that balances business needs with fair and equitable outcomes
- Strengthen consistency in how policies and practices are applied across teams and geographies
- Support the development of practical tools and training that equip leaders to navigate employee situations with confidence and make informed, balanced decisions
- Identify trends across cases and share insights to inform proactive solutions, policy updates, and manager enablement strategies
- Persistently partner cross-functionally to improve and scale processes, driving consistency, efficiency, and clarity across the organization
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in an Employee Relations, Performance Coaching or HR Business Partner role
- Demonstrated ability to manage performance improvement and employee relations matters from intake through resolution
- Experience influencing and coaching leaders at different levels, with a practical and approachable style
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices across multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex situations into clear, balanced documentation
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Ability to navigate competing priorities and make thoughtful decisions in a fast-paced environment
