About the role
A key local representative of People Practices (PP) ensuring a best-in-class employee and candidate experience, including driving engagement with learning and development. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees to connect with resources and support within People Operations, focusing on local business units, large/mega project job sites, or corporate workgroups.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is required. This role is 100% on-site, based in any DPR Construction office location, with weekly travel to Monroe, LA required. Competitive per diem and travel incentives are offered.
Responsibilities
- Partner with People Practices Leader and Business Partner to provide best-in-class employee and candidate experiences.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees, guiding them and managers to available tools and resources.
- Interpret and apply People Practices processes, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Partner with the Early Career Events Team for college recruitment, summer internships, and builder development programs.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to deploy PP services, including training logistics, new hire orientation, technology support, and local events.
- Support a positive and inclusive workplace culture with basic knowledge of employee relations; refer complex matters (e.g., leave of absence, benefits, employee relations) to appropriate teams.
- Implement the company-wide onboarding process with local adaptations for project needs.
- Organize People Practices events (e.g., employee lunches, celebrations, safety trainings, mental health awareness, Employee Boot Program, Construction Inclusion Week).
- Administer employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and retention programs.
- Ensure an equitable and inclusive employee experience across onboarding, development, and team dynamics.
- Facilitate 30/60/90-day check-ins with new employees and their coaches.
- Manage tactical aspects of employee off-boarding, including retrieving company assets and updating contact information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral.
- 2-4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Pay
Compensation range: $82,000 - $123,000.
