About the role

The People Operations Specialist supports the systems, processes, and employee programs that keep a growing technology organization running smoothly. The role manages core employee data, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR operations across a distributed workforce. You will partner with recruiting, finance, IT, and managers to deliver a reliable employee experience from offer acceptance through exit. The role is hands-on and detail-oriented, with direct ownership of HRIS workflows, employee records, compliance documentation, and people analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee lifecycle workflows in the HRIS, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, leave, and offboarding
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics across HR, IT, finance, and hiring managers, using tools such as Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, or similar platforms
  • Administer benefits enrollment and employee support in partnership with brokers, payroll providers, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate employee records, audit data regularly, and protect sensitive information in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Prepare recurring people reports and dashboards covering headcount, turnover, onboarding progress, and other workforce metrics
  • Document and improve People Operations processes, policies, templates, and employee-facing resources in Notion, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Support payroll, compliance, performance-cycle, and employee-engagement programs through accurate coordination and timely follow-through

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, HR administration, or a related role, preferably in a technology company
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS and familiarity with payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employee-record processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage confidential information and multiple deadlines accurately
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, and documentation tools such as Notion or Confluence
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to employee support
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Bonus: Experience with Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, Deel, or similar systems; exposure to HR compliance, people analytics, or multi-state employment operations
