People Operations Specialist

About The Role

The role owns core people operations functions, including onboarding, HRIS data integrity, benefits administration, and compliance across multiple states. The team relies on this position to streamline internal processes, maintain accurate employee records, and deliver a smooth HR service experience to all staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding workflows for all employees
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate recurring headcount and payroll reports
• Administer employee benefits programs and act as the primary point of contact for tier-one inquiries
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws across remote jurisdictions
• Support continuous improvement of people operations policies, handbooks, and internal documentation
• Partner with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate monthly compensation cycles

What We Are Looking For

• 2-4 years of experience in people operations, HR administration, or generalist roles within a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with modern HRIS platforms such as Rippling, BambooHR, or Workday
• Working knowledge of employment compliance, benefits administration, and data privacy standards
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills managing confidential information
• Bonus: Experience scaling remote-first teams and implementing automated HR workflows
