People & Operations Intern
What You'll Do
- Hiring & Talent Engineering: Support the full hiring pipeline, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and follow up with candidates.
- Onboarding: Help with new hire onboarding including equipment, accounts, welcome materials, and first-week logistics.
- Events & Community: Represent Simular at hackathons, tech meetups, and industry events; coordinate team events, offsites, and internal culture moments.
- Operations & Compliance: Find and manage office spaces; assist with IT compliance; coordinate with external vendors; support employment compliance; maintain employee records.
- AI & Process Automation: Identify repetitive workflows and help automate them; develop internal automations; test new AI tools; document best practices.
Requirements
This role requires a full-time commitment. You must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks without dropping balls. Clear communication and professionalism are essential. Proactivity and a willingness to learn and adapt are key traits. A curiosity about AI and a desire to build real AI literacy are important. Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to figure things out independently are beneficial. You should be a people person who enjoys events and face-to-face interactions. Additionally, caring about building a great workplace rather than just running one is desirable. Prior internship experience in HR, people ops, or startup environments, and experience organizing events, clubs, or student organizations are bonuses.
