Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Benefits & LOA Management
- Administer all Leave of Absence (LOA) cases and serve as the primary point of contact for employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage annual Open Enrollment, coordinating with vendors and creating employee communication materials.
- Resolve complex billing or enrollment issues with insurance brokers and retirement plan providers.
- Operational Systems & Compliance
- Act as a power user for Rippling, overseeing data integrity, system configurations, and automating manual workflows.
- Lead regular audits of employee records and internal policies to ensure compliance in a shifting legal landscape.
- Design and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all recurring People Ops processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Total Rewards & Policy Support
- Support the annual compensation review process by gathering market data and ensuring accurate salary adjustments in payroll and systems.
- Provide expert guidance on company policies, handbooks, perks, and wellness programs to ensure a consistent and transparent employee experience.
- Assist the Director of People Operations in handling mid-level employee relations matters and conducting internal investigations.
- Performance Management & Employee Engagement
- Support mid-year and annual performance management cycles, assisting managers with goal-setting frameworks, tracking completion metrics, and guiding teams through growth plans.
- Deploy and administer company-wide engagement surveys, analyzing sentiment data to inform retention initiatives.
- Provide operational support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including programming, budgeting, and community-building goals.
- Champion typical day-to-day engagement needs, such as coordinating employee recognition programs, wellness pulses, and cross-departmental connection touchpoints.
- Recruiting & Lifecycle Support
- Collaborate with the People Operations Coordinator to support Creative and Production Resourcing Managers with full-cycle recruitment for specialized roles, including setting up ATS and briefing interviewers.
- Partner with the People Operations Coordinator to ensure a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience for new hires.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in a People/HR role, with significant exposure to benefits administration and HR systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Rippling (or similar platforms like BambooHR or Workday) and Google Workspace.
- Solid understanding of FMLA/LOA regulations, benefits compliance (COBRA, ERISA), and multi-state labor laws.
- A natural architect who enjoys building spreadsheets, mapping out workflows, and creating order out of complexity.
- A clear, empathetic communicator who can handle sensitive information with total discretion and professionalism.
- Experience operating in a high-growth, fast-paced organization, with a track record of building scalable HR systems and processes from the ground up.
